SALEM – Virginia was born in Madera, California to Gloria and Norman Minks, both who have preceded her in death. She was married on July 15, 1967 in Portland, Oregon to husband Carl. She is survived by her husband Carl, daughters Theresa (Bryan) Naegli, Linda (Craig) Gunselman and Karen (Todd) Peters, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sisters Nadine (Reg) Young, Teresa Minks, Dolores (Kevin) Redden, Dorothea (Jerry) DeLapp and over 75 foster children.

                                                    

            She has been involved in Cub pack #106, Troop #9 and Willamette District, BSA as well as Marion Polk Foster Parent Association and First United Methodist Church.

 

            A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, February 5th at First United Methodist Church, 600 State Street. Private interment will be held in Portland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Willamette Valley Hospice, 1015 3rd St. NW, Salem, Oregon 97304-4007. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
