Verda R. McBride, 82, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2009. She was a resident of Silverton, Oregon. Born February 21, 1926 in Tangent, Oregon, she became the wife of the late William D. (Bill) McBride in 1947. Mrs. McBride was a devoted mother to Curt McBride (Stacy) of Milwaukie; Gary McBride (Jeanne) of Warrenton; Barbara White (Roland) of Albany; and Kim Skach (Christopher) of Camas, Washington. She enjoyed her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. McBride will be remembered by many former students, teachers and friends at Silverton Union High School where she spent 25 years as a school secretary. She was grateful to enjoy her Silverton residence of 50 years until the time of her death. Private graveside services will be held at Belcrest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Virgil T.
