LYONS – Treena Collins passed away on February 24 at the age of 39 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 31, 1970 in Hermiston, Oregon to Ronald and Sharon (Hickey) Waters.
Treena was raised in Hermiston and graduated from Hermiston High School in 1989. She received her Associate’s Degree from Bassist College in Portland. Treena had managed a children’s clothing store in Palmer, Alaska called “Just You And Me Kid”. She married the love of her life Steven Collins on October 8, 1999.
Treena worked as a customer service representative at Cabinet Door Service in Salem. She was a very hard worker and truly loved her job. She loved her coworkers and serving her customers. From an early age Treena enjoyed sewing, she made her prom dresses, wedding dress, and projects for friends and family. She loved music and dancing. Treena dearly loved her two dachshunds who were her constant companions day and night.
Treena is survived by her loving husband Steven of Lyons; her parents Ron and Sharon Waters also of Lyons; brother Roy Thornhill of Dallas; sister Sunan (Don) Waters Sutton of Salem; nieces Katie Sutton and Amanda Thornhill; nephews Jacob Sutton and Shawn Thornhill; father and mother in law John and Shirley Collins, sister in law Tracy Klopfensteine and Brenda Hubbard, all of Stayton.
Treena will always be remembered for her kind and tender heart towards her friends and loved ones. She loved her family gatherings and being with her friends. Treena met the goals that she set for herself. She was a warrior and a fighter and bravely with determination fought cancer.
The celebration of Treena’s life will be on Saturday, March 20, at the Copper Hill gathering place in the grand hall 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
