Salem - Thomas Gerald ‘TG” Hill, 65, died at his home in Salem on Thursday, October 29. He was born to Willis and Wilma Hill in Jacksonville, Fl. He joined the Air Forces immediately following graduation from North Salem High School in 1962. He spent the majority of his career as a construction project manager. He worked for many years at Bid-Tech and most recently worked for Barry Brae Concrete. Tom had a passion for fast ‘yellow’ cars and racing. He spent many hours at Willamette Speedway.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willis. Survivors include Mother, Wilma; Sisters, Deb (Hill) Elmore, Fl., Carol Maione, NY, Irene Cook, AZ; Children, Cory (Charlotte) Hill, Dallas; Tanya (Brian) Champion; Step-Children, Billy (Paige) Wittman, Amber (Bryan) Baker; of Salem Grandchildren, Calin, Brooklin and Bodin Champion and 5 step-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 4th at 2 p.m. at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commerial Street SE, Salem with a reception to follow.
The family suggests contributions to American Heart Association.
