Theophil Norbert Kock 86, of Mesa, AZ died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Karen, in Paso Robles, CA, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Plum City, Wisconsin and moved to Mesa, AZ about 17 years ago from Salem, OR.
Ted entered the U.S. Navy on Nov. 11, 1942 and obtained a rating as Quartermaster Second Class and a Good Conduct Medal. He received his Honorable Discharge on March 5, 1946.
He was married to Nova Jean Zickrick on Oct. 23, 1946 in Dorset, Minnesota.
He worked most of his life as a supervisor with Market Basket grocery chain in Southern California.
Ted is survived by his daughter Karen B. Cruickshank and husband Roy; son Daniel G. Kock; grandson Sean M. Kock Sr. and wife Christine; great grandchildren, Rebecca I. Wallace, Sky Nova Kock, Sean M. Kock Jr and Hunter L. Kock; brothers, Robert Kock and wife Eunice, Reverend David Kock and Paul Kock and wife Pearl; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Kock, Etta Mae Hitchcock and Marianne Zickrick; brother-in-law Jerry Zickrick and wife Maggie; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Salem, Oregon at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 20, 2010. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
