SALEM- Steven James Lakey returned to his heavenly home on June 1, 2009. He was born in Odgen, Utah to James and Carolyn Lakey. Steve served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vancouver, BC, Canada and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He married his sweetheart Wendy Sellers on April 23, 1983. Steve dearly loved and watched over his wife and 6 children, Qile, 24, Shaunelle (Ben) Trenholm, 23, Darek, 21, Jantsen, 19, Ryken, 16, Brynn, 14, and grandson Jaimason, 4. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Lakey, brothers, Mike and Greg Lakey, sister, Shanna Coleman and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Lakey.

The viewing will be form 10:00 -11:00 am on Saturday, June 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at the corner of Boone Rd. and Battlecreek Rd. in Salem. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to any US Bank in honor of the Lakey Family. Arrangements by Virgil T.
