Sharon Calvert, a Youthful Spirit, and Loving Soul, died suddenly at her home in Salem.  She was born in Dayton, Washington, the daughter of Charles and Leah Smith.  She graduated from Pilot Rock High School in 1958, and attended the UofO from 1958 to 1960.  Sharon married Dave Calvert in 1967, making homes in Portland, Oregon City, Salem, and Seward Alaska during their 35 years of marraige. 

Sharon spent her final years caring for ailing family members, and cheering at her grandchildrens’ sporting events.  Sharon is survived by her daughter, Dianna; 3 step-children Dawn, Sue, and Dan; 9 grandchildren Megan, Phillip, Stephanie, Alyssa, Alison, Angelo, Ben, Joey and Peyton.
