SALEM – Scott died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 8th at his home in Salem.
He was born August 10, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland to Marvin Elmer and Cecil May Patrick. He graduated from Northeast High School in Pasadena, Maryland and attended Fairfax Community College.
He is survived by his former wife Sandra and four children, Shawn, Steven, Shane and Sabrina, and one grandson. Additionally, he is survived by a longtime friend Pattie, three brothers Robert (Bob) of Boise, Idaho, Mark of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Colleen Wardell of Endicott, New York and Bruce of Hagerstown, Maryland. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents and one brother Larry.
Scott moved to Colton, Oregon in 1978 where he met and married Sandra. He first worked in construction with his older brother, then as a forklift operator and in the industrial floor covering business.
A loving person to all he knew, Scott was well liked by many. A child at heart, he loved children, none more than his own. He enjoyed nature and was very fond of going over to the Oregon Coast.
An avid musician, he helped to form and play in a number of bands including “Hit & Run” and “Critix”. When he wasn’t in a band, he was found performing karaoke.
A consummate comedian, Scott had the ability to make many smile and laugh. If given a chance Scott loved juggling small animals without claws, such was his humor. Scott, we love and remember you well.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday, August 13th and 9-10:00 AM on Saturday, August 14th followed by a memorial service, all at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
