Salem- Robert Anthony Secco was born to William and Gloria Secco in Sacramento, California on May 9, 1938 and passed away April 30, 2010 in Silverton Oregon after a short battle with cancer. He married Elaine Schmidgall on June 12, 1980 and she preceded him in death in July, 2008. Bob worked in drywall construction in California and Oregon after serving in the Navy enlisting at the age of 17. After he retired from construction, he owned a courier service and made many friends at NW Human services for whom he worked. His favorite past time was watching any and all sports on TV, especially the Seattle Mariners who he loved. He is survived by his sons, Bill (Christine) Secco of Keizer and Ed (Sirena) Secco of Billings, Montana, 5 grand children, Gina Rolston, Billy, Christopher, Amanda and Brandon Secco, 2 great grandchildren, Gabby and Devon, and one sister, Dorothy Sage of Sacramento, California. His parents, brother Jim Secco, and sisters Betty Rhino, and Barbara Secco preceded him in death. Services will be held on Thursday May, 6, 2010—graveside inurnment at 3:00pm at Bethany Pioneer cemetery and a Memorial service at 4:00pm at the Silverton First Baptist Church.
