SALEM – Priscilla Jean Scales Beard passed away on July 27 at the age of 78. She was born April 6, 1932 in Portland, Oregon to Eugene Joseph and Niva Bernice (Putnam) Scales.

 

            Priscilla was raised in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. She married Lambert Leslie Beard, who preceded her in death in 1994. Priscilla was a member of the Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary and the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

 

            Priscilla is survived by her brother Richard Scales of Vancouver, WA; nephews Michael Allen Scales and Jeffrey Douglas Scales; and niece Deborah Cheryl Warner. At her request, no services will be held. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
