Oscar passed away at his home on April 14, 2009 at the age of 79. Oscar was born in Salem and lived here his entire life. He served his country in the Korean War. He retired from U.S. West Telephone after 39 years. Oscar enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, cars and motorcycles. Oscar is survived by his wife, Lois of 53 years; daughters, Margaret Meyer, Laurie Turner and her husband, Geoff; granddaughter, Amy Moore and her husband, Aaron. 
A memorial mass will be at 1:30PM Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Lone Oak and Friendship. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
