Salem- Mark Lee Grosser was born on January 28, 1955 in McMinnville, Oregon to DuWayne Orman and Thelma Ruth (Rickard) Grosser. Mark grew up in Stayton, Oregon where he attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Stayton High School.
Mark worked for several years in various occupations until meeting his Tribal Mentor, Monty Ring, where he worked for The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde as maintenance supervisor where he focused on making a better life for himself and his family.
Mark had a passion for the tattoo industry so he founded, along with his wife, MPG Tattoo & Body Piercing in 1993 as a home based studio, through the years it expanded to become a tattoo school with two studios in Salem and Lincoln City, Oregon. Marks pride, passion and professionalism in his tattoos brought clients from throughout the United States. His hobbies were reading science-fiction, listening to classic rock and roll, fishing with his family, and traveling with his wife.
He has left behind his wife of 27 years, Patricia Ann Grosser; three sisters Laurie Cathcart, Melia Rickard, Mary Rickard and is survived by his children Brian Wagner and Tami Wagner, David, Amanda, Heather, Chris and Jessica Grosser, and 13 beloved grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to any WAMU branch in the name of Patricia Grosser to help with funeral expenses. Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday Jan. 9th at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
