Marian Moore was born in Salem to Marvin and Minnie(Forrest) Moore. Living in northeast Salem most of her life, she attended Grant School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Loving music, words, and nature, she taught piano, organ and violin for many years; became a published poet, often writing poems for family and friends on special occasions; and extensively studied the birds and flowers of the Northwest. Marian, a woman of faith, became a member of Court Street Christian Church in 1974 and had lived at Turner Retirement Homes for the past 15 years. She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by six cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, June 25, at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St. S.E.
