Lora Ann Jones died peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 9, 2009. She was born July 8, 1934 to George and Hazel Johnston. She spent most of her childhood on the family farm in Scio and moved to Salem her senior year, graduating from North Salem High. She lived in the Willamette Valley Area and Craig, Alaska, working as a telephone operator, school cook and accountant. She loved to cook and take long drives in the countryside. She was loved by all will be greatly missed by her brother, Darrell, children Robert, Esther, Bruce, Eileen & Patricia, 8 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren and their families. Celebration of Life will be held at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 16, 2009. A reception will follow.
