Sublimity – Lillian Marie Koffler passed peacefully away in the morning of Jan. 11, 2010, after a long illness at Marian Estates in Sublimity, Oregon. She was born in new Hradec, North Dakota on Nov. 2, 1918 and later moved to the Dickinson, North Dakota area. She married Edward Koffler on Nov. 21, 1938, who predeceased her in 1992. She lived in the Dickinson/Taylor, North Dakota area until 1962 when the family moved to Mt. Angel, Oregon. Lillian worked for the Benedictine Sisters and Mid-Willamette Valley Senior Services until she retired in 1985. She moved with her husband Edward to Salem, Oregon in 1985 where she resided until 2003 when she relocated to Marian Estates in Sublimity, Oregon, until her death.
Lillian’s biggest joy was entertaining family at dinners she cooked, as well as sewing and a variety of craft projects. She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren always the supportive rock when needed. She will be dearly missed.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband Edward; parents Louis and Minnie Faiman, sister Dorothy Schulz, brothers Joe and Fred Faiman; son Wayne Koffler and granddaughter Jill Worley. Survivors include daughters Marlene (Bill) Worley, Leda(Rick) Pugh of Keizer, Or; daughter in law Terri Koffler of Orange, CA, brothers, Al Faiman of Salem, Or; Bill Faiman of Bismarck, ND; Lou Faiman of Chattaroy WA; sister Mildred Keller of Bismarck, ND. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Contributions may be to Alzheimer’s Association or to Signature Hospice.
Visitation will be 1pm – 7 pm, Thursday Jan. 14th with the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Friday Jan 15 at St Edwards Catholic Church, Keizer, Or followed by burial at City View Cemetery, Salem, Or. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
