SALEM- December 16, at 1:30 am Jean Corey Woods went to join her husband, John Burton Woods, Jr., who already dwells in the Lord having passed in 1986.
Jean, a long time resident of Salem was lovingly cared for a Meadow Creek Village and by Hospice Northwest and Willamette Valley Hospice. We are Grateful to all who worked so hard to make Mother comfortable as possible during her lengthy decline.
Born at home in Vancouver, WA on January 13, 1914, she succumbed less than a month before her 96th birthday. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Woods-Knight of Gig Harbor, WA; twins, John Burton Woods III of Salem, Joel Corey Woods of Elmira and a younger daughter, Julie Debra Woods who resides at Barrier Free, also in Salem.
Jean will be missed for her taste, talents and skills and for her resourcefulness especially during adversity. A funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel of Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Lone Oak Rd. at 11:00 am, Sat. Jan. 30, 2010. Donations may be sent in her name to Hospice Northwest, Willamette Valley Hospice or to a hospice of your choosing.
