Keizer -Harry Noyes passed away March 7 peacefully at home. Harry was born August 8, 1920 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Harry and Winnifred Noyes. He was raised in Fergus Falls until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Harry met Diane Fairfield in Vancouver, Washington and they married on May 11, 1946. They began their life together running the Sweet Shop in Fergus Falls; that time remained one of their fondest memories. Harry spent the rest of his career in the funeral business or sales in Minnesota, Colorado, and Oregon where he lived since 1972.
In earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Harry was an avid golfer and recorded his first hole-in-one at the age of 79. Harry will be remembered by family and friends for his love of cars, corny jokes, and his loving and generous manner.
Harry is survived by his wife Diane of 63 years; children and spouses Susan and Jim Hager and Robert and Maria Noyes of Salem, Oregon and James and Cecelia Noyes of Corvallis, Oregon; 5 grandchildren Lupe, David, Joshua, Angela and Sarah and 3 great-grandchildren Amos, Jasmine and Bella; and sister and brother-in-law Donna and Elwood Olson of Aitken, Minnesota and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at Keizer Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 7950 Wheatland Rd., Keizer, Oregon.
