Salem- Gail was born in Tillamook, Oregon December 25, 1953 to Darrell and Betty Stewart. She married Gerald Van Hyning on June 7, 1980, completing her family by bringing together her daughter Leslie and Gerald’s children Jennifer and Jeremy. They moved to Salem, OR in 1985.  Family was the most important part of her life. Gail enjoyed all the quality time she spent with her grandkids, baking, trips to the coast, fishing, baseball games or any functions the grandkids were involved in.

 

Survivors include her husband of 29 years Gerry; children Leslie, Jennifer and Jeremy; eight grandchildren Hope, Alex, Mackenzie, Kielee, Sarah, Hailey, Cason and Jori; mother Betty Stewart; four sisters Candi Cross, Donna Plumeau, Connie Larson, Jodi Wismer and many other extended family members. Gail was preceded in death by her father Darrell Stewart.

 

A memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 9^th at the Shilo Inn Banquet Room in Tillamook. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
