Silverton- Frances Notdurft was born January 29, 1918 in Miles City, Montana. Fran graduated High School in Lyons, Kansas in 1934 and went on to St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Hutchinson, Kansas. She did post graduate work in operating room techniques in Chicago in 1940.

 

In 1945 Fran moved to Oregon and worked at the Salem Hospital until retiring in 1978. After retiring she relocated to Silverton with her husband Richard. She did volunteer work at the Silverton Hospital.

 

In Silverton she also continued with her avid love of bowling. She started bowling in her early 20’s. After 70 years of bowling she finished this year with an average of 135.

 

She is survived by her son Gordon Aleshire and daughter Barbara Beach, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
