JEFFERSON-Eugene Forest Hartzell Sr, 67, died Dec 16, 2009, at home from a stroke caused by his battle with cancer. Eugene was born July 11, 1942, in Thomas OK to Dema & Robert Hartzell. He served in the National Guard. Eugene moved to Idaho in 1957 then to Oregon in 1960. In 1973 he settled in Jefferson where he made his family home.
Eugene loved his grandkids, family and fishing most. His great passion was working to beautify his land; his tribute to God & family. He always had a great story to tell of his life. He is missed greatly by family and all who knew him.
Eugene is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Deanna Clark; sons Larry & Eugene Jr.; son-in-law Rob Clark; daughters-in-law Jeannie & Jamie; sister Velma Weber & family and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10am Monday, December 21, 2009 at Belcrest Memorial Park, 1295 Browning Ave S., Rev. Jeff Hale officiating. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
