Etta Dugger passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June15. Etta was a true Oregon pioneer

Woman. She was born in Wamic, Oregon and attended Maupin high school. She lost her Mother

When she was 7 years old. Her Father, Michael Urban, raised Etta and her brother, Forrest and

They became a close knit family.

 

They moved to the Willamette Valley in the 1930’s where Etta met and married Sylvester Klenski.

They had three children and did farm work in the Valley. In the mid 1950’s Etta married Lee Dugger

And became the bookkeeper for Lee’s auto repair shop. Together they had two children, with the exception of two years working on the Mangla Dam in West Pakistan, they lived their life in the Salem

Area.

 

Etta and Lee became boating enthusiasts and were active members of the Salem boat Club. They loved salmon fishing and spent much of their time on the ocean out of Depoe Bay. Etta also loved clamming

And when there was a low tide on the Coast, they had their shovels in the car and were off to find

the Clams. Later in life they became RV’s and enjoyed many days on the open road.

 

Etta’s husbands and son Larry predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Mahony (Terry), son Ralph Klenski (Alice), son Gary Klenski (Kathy), daughter Cindy Rowe (Andy),

Step-daughters Lila Woelke (Denny) and Phyllis Tooley (Jim), nine grandchildren and several great

Grandchildren. 

 

Etta had great love for her family and friends and will be missed by all.

A private family service has been held. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
