Duane Hunter passed away Monday morning at OHSU in Portland after a sudden illness at the age of 50. He was born Dec 01, 1959 in Los Angeles.   He moved to Salem, Oregon in 1973 and attended McNary High School.   He worked over 20 years for the State of Oregon. He loved his family, friends and life. Survived by his parents Malcolm Ramsay Hunter and Jean Ballinger, step father Jim Ballinger, step mother Blanche Hunter, wife Karla Hunter, sisters Debbie Schacher and Karen Hunter, brothers Jimmy Ballinger and Craig Hunter, two children Mandy Backer and Kayla Hunter, step daughters Brianna Siclait and Sasha Siclait and four grandkids. Duane was an organ donor.

Visitation will be at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service at 10:30am with services at 11am on Friday, March 26, 2010.  Interment will follow at City View Cemetery. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral service.
