Salem- Donna M. Collier, age 74 passed away at her home on April 14, 2010.
She was born in Salem to William and Theresa Pardo, and was the fourth of seven daughters. Donna was raised in the Salem area and graduated from Salem High School.
Donna married Roger King Sr. in 1955. They had 4 children. They later divorced.
Donna was married to Chuck Collier for 45 years. They made their home in Salem, and then the Macleay area, where they raised their five children. Donna was a loyal employee at Mead Products for over 40 years. She enjoyed camping, dancing and traveling in her earlier years. Later, Donna spent her time gardening and spending time with family (especially her children and grandchildren.) She remained a devoted fan to Elvis Presley since her teen years.
Donna is survived by her husband Chuck; her five children Sheryl Williams, Roger King Jr, Carrie Dennis, Laura Sessums and Kim Morris; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
