Dona June McBride, 85, a former resident of McMinnville, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Salem Hospital. Dona was born on March 30, 1924 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She made her home in McMinnville from 1960 until 1980. She was a homemaker and also worked for the News-Register in McMinnville for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Laura Boughen and her sisters Josephine and Agnes. 

 

She is survived by her six children Karen Baune of Oak Harbor, Washington, Mark McBride of McMinnville, Oregon, Margaret Nemecek of Salem, Oregon, James McBride of Salem, Oregon, Jeanette Boswell of Salem, Oregon, and Tim McBride of Bartonville, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 

 

The family will have a private memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem.
