Salem – Dolores Watson Spurr passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009. She had major surgery on Dec. 11th and died of complications following. She leaves behind husband Bob of Salem, daughters Judith Barker (Gary) of Salem, Vicki Dismukes (Bobby) of Oklahoma City and Pamela Corby (Scott) of Norman, Oklahoma. She was very proud of her 8 grandchildren and soon to be 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Sammy A. Johnson, in 1965.
Dolores took pride in being a native Texan, loved people and loved hearing their life stories. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm today, Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 1770 Baxter Rd SE. Burial will be held at a later date in a family plot in Wheeler, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church or the south Salem Senior Center. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
