Catherine passed early on Wednesday morning at the healthy age of 106. She was born in Lobinstown in the county Meath, Ireland February 7, 1904 to Patrick Traynor and Mary (Stanley) Traynor. Catherine came to the USA and was proud to become an American Citizen in 1930. She resided on the East Coast caring for others and raising her family – daughter Kathleen (preceded her in death) and son Michael Jr. She retired and moved to Salem to be with her family in 1987. She enjoyed her new life here in Salem. She is survived by son Michael Jr. and his wife Vivian, grand children Donald, David, Gregg, Michael III, Joseph, Kathleen and five great grand children, extended family on the East Coast and Ireland. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

 

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 721 Chemeketa St NE. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
