SALEM- Born in Hibbing, Minn., Ann celebrated her 95th birthday with friends and relatives this year.
In 1942 she worked as a stenographer for the Transportation Dept.(Aviation) and reported to Nelson Rockerfeller. 1946 found her in Berlin as Administrative Assistant for the Deputy Military Governor during the Berlin airlift and reconstruction. She enjoyed her European travels while there. 1948 brought her to Los Angeles, CA as an Executive Secretary to a geological petroleum and oil company. There marrying Walter C. Sorensen Jr., in 1954. They then started North with the Aircraft Corporation to San Jose, CA in 1961 and North again in 1966 to Seattle, WA. Retiring from Boeing and moving to Salem, OR where they enjoyed retirement. She also enjoyed her Bible studies group.
Survived by her son, Duane Sorensen, she will be missed by many relatives and friends.
